ESPN BREAKING NEWS: New Orleans Saints made an adjustment to a franchise legend’s contract

On Thursday, the New Orleans Saints changed the terms of a legendary player’s contract.

The Saints adjusted Cameron Jordan’s deal to free up over $9 million in 2024 salary cap space, according to NFL source Adam Schefter.
The franchise’s all-time leader in sacks is Jordan. Although he has slowed down recently, he was once an excellent pass rusher.
July 10th is Jordan’s 35th birthday. He spent each of his thirteen NFL seasons as a player for the Saints. The 2011 NFL Draft saw him selected with the 24th overall pick in the first round.

In New Orleans, the veteran has long been a favourite among the supporters. He will undoubtedly play for the Saints on the field until at least 2024. Throughout his career, Jordan has made eight trips to the Pro Bowl. In addition, he has 15 forced fumbles, 153 tackles for loss, and 225 quarterback hits.

The Saints still have a few changes to make in order to comply with the cap. The Saints need to clear just less than $17 million in order to get back under the cap, per OverTheCap.
