Joe Parrish, the guitarist for Jethro Tull, has announced his departure from the band after a four-year tenure. Parrish joined the band in 2020, right at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, and contributed to their latest albums, *The Zealot Gene* (2022) and *RökFlöte* (2023). He has decided to leave to focus on his own band, Albion, which recently released their album *Lakesongs of Elbid*. His exit marks the end of a significant period with Jethro Tull, during which he played an integral role in both recording and live performances.
Replacing Parrish is Jack Clark, who has been associated with Jethro Tull as a multi-instrumentalist, performing on bass, second guitar, and covering keyboard parts during recent tours. Clark will officially take over guitar duties starting in March 2024 as the band embarks on an international tour, including stops in Europe and South America.
Jethro Tull expressed their gratitude to Parrish for his contributions and creativity, wishing him the best with his future musical endeavors. Fans of both Parrish and Albion can look forward to more updates on his projects via social media.
