Commanders in Washington, Tyler Biadasz, Agree to Contract
The 2023 season was again another good but unremarkable campaign for the native starting centre for the Dallas Cowboys. Tyler Biadasz concluded the last year of his contract with a 69.2 PFF grade, enough for the 14th-best rating among 36 eligible players. He started in 16 of a possible 17 games. The Cowboys, who finished 12-5 during the regular season, barely won the NFC East. But they lost badly to the Green Bay Packers in the playoffs, ending their fortunate streak.
Originally selected in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, Tyler Biadasz joined the team. Selected in the same year that Travis Frederick, the franchise’s legend, retired, the Wisconsin native was able to assume the starting position from Week 1. Despite playing in 12 games and contributing to the offence, he only made four starts.
Biadasz finally earned the starting role in 2021 after a year of acclimating to NFL life. With a 65.1 PFF grade at the end of the season, the fourth-round pick—who started all 17 games—ranked as the 18th best guard in the league. Dallas finished the regular season with a 12-5 record, capturing the NFC East before falling to the San Francisco 49ers in the postseason.
After this, Tyler Biadasz had what was possibly his greatest season to date. The Wisconsin product made his first career Pro Bowl selection because of his outstanding play, starting and participating in 16 games. It was deja vu all over again when the San Francisco 49ers defeated the Dallas Cowboys in the 2022 playoffs. The one bright spot is that they defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 31-14 to get out of the Wild Card.
Tyler Biadasz has made 53 starts in 61 games since signing his rookie contract.
