Newcastle United co-owners were nearly hit by a motorbike involved in a chase with an electric bike near the ground before the 2-1 Premier League defeat to Liverpool.
A bike accident at Manchester United’s stadium resulted in serious injuries for the riders and passengers. The 30-year-old rider was arrested on suspicion of drug driving, causing serious injury by dangerous driving, and suspected theft of a motor vehicle. The 23-year-old passenger was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs, suspected theft of a motor vehicle, and other driving offences. Merseyside Police said the bike has been recovered and inquiries into the incident are ongoing. United head coach Eddie Howe expressed his best wishes to the involved parties.
