On Monday night, Malachi Moreno, a standout at Great Crossing High School, received an offer from Louisville.
Pat Kelsey, the basketball coach at the University of Louisville, and his two assistant coaches left on Monday night.
One of their stops was Georgetown, Kentucky, where Kelsey and his team had a meeting with Kentucky’s top prospect. Malachi Moreno, a standout student at Great Cross High School, stated that Kelsey offered him a scholarship during the visit.
Social Facebook user Moreno posted, “Excited and humble.”
The 6-foot-11, 210-pound Moreno led Great Crossing, which fell to Lyon County in the Boys Sweet 16 semifinals, with an average of 16 points and 14 rebounds per game. According to 247Sports, Moreno is the 27th-best player in the country in the Class of 2025. In the Bluegrass State, he ranks as the top player overall and the third-best centre.
