Wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. of Ohio State paid the Chicago Bears a visit at Halas Hall on Monday, April 25, one of the team’s “top 30” visits allowed by the NFL before the draft on April 25. According to projections, Harrison will go somewhere in the top 10 of the 2024 NFL Draft. Malik Nabers of LSU, who has also visited the Bears, and Harrison—the son of legendary Colts wide out and Pro Football Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison—are the main contenders for the top receiving spot in the class. In three seasons, the younger Harrison tore up the Big Ten with 155 receptions, 2,613 yards, and 31 touchdowns. 15 games with 100 yards or more in receptions set a career record for the Buckeyes.
Harrison was a Heisman Trophy finalist last year and an All-American in 2022 and 2023, but he hasn’t done much on the pre-draft trail. Although he didn’t run on his pro day or at the Scouting Combine, most organizations have the prerogative to ask prospects to perform a full workout when they visit the team facility. If there isn’t a big trade offer, Chicago will likely take USC quarterback Caleb Williams, so the Bears will select first and ninth in the first round.
