JUST IN: Reason why Alabama 5-star freshman WR has been a problem for Crimson Tide defense

Although Jalen Hale’s return will bring the Alabama football wide receiver room back to full strength, spring practice has been exciting at that position.

Kendrick Law, Emmanuel Henderson, and Germie Bernard have all had strong performances, but Kobe Prentice is steadily gaining ground as the most popular name in the room. Coaches and players can’t seem to get their eyes off of Caleb Odom, a five-star freshman.

At six feet five, the native Georgian is making it look effortless as he runs routes, moves quickly, and catches passes.

Redshirt freshman cornerback Jahlil Hurley has practiced covering Law, Henderson, and Bernard, but he said on Wednesday that Odom causes the secondary issues because of his size. In the fall, JaMarcus Shephard will utilize a weapon all season long.

Hurley remarked, “I aint gonna lie, Caleb Odom can play.” “He’s got game.”

Hurley finds the receiver room impressive, but Odom has a lot of potential in this scheme.

Despite his stature, which makes him a matchup concern, he has remarkable mobility. On Saturday, April 13 at 3 p.m., Alabama fans may watch Odom play in the spring game inside Bryant-Denny Stadium.
