Washington Commanders During A Team Reorganization The now-owned by Josh Harris team strengthened its linebacking corps after an impressive 2023 season by adding future Hall of Famer Bobby Wagner as well as Frankie Luvu and Jeremy Chinn, two standout players from the Carolina Panthers.
With the arrival of experienced tight end Zach Ertz and running back Austin Ekeler, the other offensive skill positions also saw some changes.

The one position the squad had neglected to bolster was wide receiver, as the team’s #1 and #2 receivers, Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson, remain in place. However, with McLaurin and Dotson as their only main receivers, the Commanders needed reinforcement at receiver following Curtis Samuel’s trade to the Buffalo Bills.
According to Tom Pelissero, it appears that the Washington Commanders have finally made the decision to bring in a free agency wide receiver to contend for the #3 spot on their offense.
Can Olamide Zaccheaus Make An Impact In Washington? Jahan Dotson did not achieve much more in his first NFL season after having a strong rookie campaign. Compared to 2022, when he played five less games, he only managed 518 yards.

Terry McLaurin had another year with 1000 or more receptions, but he did not appear to be quite as dominant and impressive as he had been in previous years. The Commanders will undoubtedly benefit from adding Zaccheaus, who had two successful seasons as the #3 with the Atlanta Falcons in 2021 and 2022, to their roster as they work to best prepare for the virtually certain arrival of the rookie quarterback.
