London, UK – Ian Paice, the legendary drummer of Deep Purple, has announced that he is stepping down from the iconic rock band after decades of contributing to its unparalleled legacy. Paice, who has been with Deep Purple since its inception in 1968, shared the news in a heartfelt statement today, explaining that the time had come to move on from the band he helped define.

“I’ve had the most incredible journey with Deep Purple,” Paice began. “But after years of touring, recording, and giving my all to this band, I’ve made the decision to step away. It wasn’t an easy choice, and one I’ve been considering for some time. There comes a point when you realize that your personal rhythm no longer matches the band’s.
