NEW YORK JETS: The Jets are considering a move for a veteran worth $4.4 million, who could be on the move ahead of……
The New York Jets may consider trading some of their excess talent, including offensive lineman Max Mitchell, ahead of cut day. Mitchell, 24, has two years left on his $4.4 million rookie contract and has been underwhelming according to Pro Football Focus grades. He has appeared in 20 games and made 12 starts in the last two seasons. The Jets’ depth on the offensive line is so good that they could consider shipping some of it away. Last season, the Jets used 13 different starting offensive line combinations, which led to injuries, ineffective performances, and a disaster of epic proportions. With the right situation, the Jets could consider shipping some of their talent away. If the Jets decide to trade, they should focus on cutting players to get something for them instead of losing them for nothing or if a situation presents itself that is too good to pass up where they can improve another part of the team.
