Victor Osimhen’s representative stated that the striker’s future is “in Europe” in response to rumors that the Napoli forward would turn down a move to Saudi Arabia.

The Nigerian international is expected to leave Napoli this summer, and according to Italian media, the club has received an offer from Al Ahli of Saudi Arabia worth over £60 million.

Osimhen has also been linked to Chelsea and Arsenal, and Napoli is getting closer to making offers for midfielder Scott McTominay of Manchester United and forward Romelu Lukaku of the Blues. Such agreements would necessitate Napoli getting paid for Osimhen.

Despite any offer made to Napoli, Roberto Calenda, the agent for the 25-year-old, turned to Twitter/X to provide an update on his client’s whereabouts, insisting it will not be in Saudi Arabia.

According to Calenda’s statement, “Osimhen is a Napoli player, with a contract recently renewed with mutual satisfaction.” “He made history, and we always respected the club’s judgment when it came to accepting big offers.

He is not a package that should be sent far away to create room for future prophets, as I have stated.

“Victor was elected African footballer of the year, eighth at the Ballon d’Or, he still has so much to do in Europe. Respect and balance are required.

According to earlier reports from The Independent, Chelsea is eager to recruit a striker, therefore the transfer story involving Osimhen might extend until the final week of the transfer season.

Lukaku is eager to join Napoli and work with former Inter manager Antonio Conte again, but the transfer has so far been hampered by Osimhen’s wage demands.

But if Osimhen has turned down a move to Saudi Arabia in order to stay in Europe, it would be a positive sign for Chelsea’s chances of acquiring the striker.
