Just In:Aerosmith Retire from Touring Due to Steven Tyler’s Vocal Injury….

After determining that lead singer Steven Tyler would not be able to recuperate from his vocal damage, Aerosmith announced that they would be stopping their tour immediately.

Previously, Tyler suffered damage to his vocal cords and a cracked larynx during a concert in September 2023, which forced Aerosmith to postpone their scheduled farewell tour. The band has postponed its plans to embark on a new tour, which was originally set to start in September 2024. They have also determined that they will not be touring again.

Aerosmith wrote in a statement made public on Friday afternoon: “We are honored that our music has become a part of your life. You have placed us on the soundtrack of your lives in every club, on every huge tour, and at special, intimate times.

“Our goal has always been to astound you with our performances. Steven’s voice is a unique instrument, as you are well aware. He has been working nonstop for months to restore his voice to its pre-injury level. Even with the greatest medical team at his disposal, we’ve seen him struggle. Regretfully, it is evident that he will never fully recover from his vocal impairment. We, as a brotherly band, have decided to retire from the traveling stage due to painful and challenging circumstances.

The “Peace Out: The Farewell Tour” for Aerosmith was first announced for September 2023, but the band was only able to perform three dates before Tyler suffered a vocal injury. The band revealed a massive 44-song greatest hits compilation and collector’s box set in tandem with the tour.

Aerosmith became one of the greatest rock bands of all time during the course of their more than 50-year history, and in 2001 they were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. They put out fifteen albums; Music From Another Dimension (2012) was their most recent! Some of their most well-known hits include “Walk This Way,” “Dream On,” and “Sweet Emotion,” which are still top hits on classic-rock radio.
