Alex Cora’s contract with the Boston Red Sox is almost up. He will either re-sign with Boston at the end of the season, go on to manage somewhere else, or accept a completely different job in baseball.

However, a lot of Sox supporters are nervous about losing Cora as manager, and recent calls from experts to the front office have made them more anxious. According to MLB insider Ken Rosenthal, the first thing he would do if he were in Boston’s front office prior to the trade deadline is present the skipper with a blank check.
