One of the top talents in the 2025 class, Nate Ament, has received an offer of a scholarship from Louisville head coach Pat Kelsey. On Tuesday afternoon, Nate Ament, a forward from Highland School in Warrenton, Virginia, accepted the offer from the Cardinals.
The 6-foot-9 Ament is regarded as the No. 13 overall prospect in the country by 247Sports and is a 247Sports Composite five-star prospect.
Louisville has joined a distinguished group of programs that includes Pittsburgh, Virginia, Creighton, Duke, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, and many more. Thomas Carr, the new assistant coach, and the Cardinals are connected because of his time spent in
The 247Sports National Recruiting Director, Eric Bossi, gave a scouting report on the highly targeted players.
“Playing with Team Loaded NC in the spring and summer of 2023, Ament became well-known around the country. Ament, despite his slight build, is a quick and agile striker with excellent ball skills who can use his enormous size to play out on the wing. Alternatively, because of his deep shooting skills, he may be deployed as a small ball four man who breaks down defences and pushes other big men away from the hoop. Because of his general size, athleticism, and frame—which he can potentially grow into—Ament has a lot of projectable promise. Even though he still needs to gain more power and is far from perfect, he already makes the game seem rather easy and has a promising future.”
According to 247Sports, Ament is ranked as the top prospect in his native state and as the fifth-best power forward in the nation.
