BREAKING NEWS: Michigan coach Sherrone Moore Shocking Message about his Future

Jack Tuttle, the quarterback for Michigan, did not play in the team’s spring game, but that does not necessarily mean he will start at quarterback for Michigan in the coming autumn. Tuttle is returning after an injury.

Kirk Campbell, the offensive coordinator, stated on Saturday that Tuttle is ready for summer practices and can already throw items.

The starting quarterbacks for Michigan’s spring game were Davis Warren and Alex Orji, with Jayden Denegal and Jadyn Davis also seeing action.

As the team’s most seasoned quarterback, Tuttle will be playing for the Wolverines for the second time in his seven years in college come 2024.

Tuttle left Indiana to transfer to Michigan, where he completed 57.1 percent of his passes for 901 yards, five touchdowns, and six interceptions. At Indiana, Tuttle provided support for Michael Penix Jr. In 2023, Tuttle performed admirably as J.J. McCarthy’s backup at Michigan, completing 15 of 17 throw attempts for 130 yards, one touchdown, and 35 rushing yards.

Will Tuttle have an advantage over the other quarterbacks due to his background and exposure to exceptional collegiate quarterbacks like Penix Jr. and McCarthy? It doesn’t hurt, for sure.

Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore stated on Monday, “He’ll be in it.” As a staff and as a team, we discussed this. J.J. McCarthy and Michael Penix are the guys he supported. He has talent, and once he attends a fall camp, we’ll see what transpires.

Moore stated that everyone is improving and that the quarterback competition will move into summer and fall camp.

Tuttle highlighted Andrew Luck while describing the kind of quarterback he wants to be last season.

“Having the ability to adopt a harsh, obstinate mindset. Growing up, I always looked up to someone like Andrew Luck,” Tuttle remarked. “I think that’s who my play style reflects.”

Michigan will have a very strong quarterback position if Tuttle can even begin to tap into Luck’s potential. Fall camp should feature a fierce and intense quarterback competition. There doesn’t seem to be a clear-cut favourite, but that will probably change before the regular season starts.
