Superstar quarterback Josh Allen is expected to recommend an offensive weapon to general manager Brandon Beane of the Buffalo Bills, who are reportedly eyeing an offensive weapon in the first round of the NFL Draft.
Who’s going to be it this year?
Josh Allen, the quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, declared his preference at the beginning of the 2023 NFL Draft.
“On Draft Day last year, all I said in a text to Beane was ‘Dalton Kincaid.'” Allen recalled this story to reporters on April 18.
To the great satisfaction of Allen, Beane moved up two positions in Round 1, jumping the Dallas Cowboys, to guarantee the Bills their top pick. With the No. 25 overall pick, Buffalo chose Utah tight end Dalton Kincaid and included him right away into their offensive schemes.
With just one regular season game missed as a rookie, Kincaid amassed 73 receptions and 29 first downs. With an 80.2 catch %, he led the Bills and proved to be a reliable target for Allen, who might or might not have persuaded Beane to select the steady-handed pass-catcher in the draft.
Allen, who has scored more touchdowns in the first six years of a career than any other player in NFL history, said, “I’d like to think that I have some input in who we get to pick, but, honestly, I really don’t.”
Given that Gabe Davis and Stefon Diggs, the starting receivers, left Buffalo this summer, Buffalo would be smart to give Allen another playmaker.
Thursday night will reveal this year’s “Dalton Kincaid.”
