Nick Pringle, a senior forward, is yet another important player lost to the transfer portal for the Alabama basketball team. Pringle scored 6.8 points, grabbed 5.1 rebounds, and blocked 0.7 shots a game on average this season. In the Tide’s Elite Eight matchup with Clemson in March, he scored 16 points and pulled down 11 rebounds, playing a major role in the team’s victory. Kris Parker, Davin Cosby, Nick Pringle, Rylan Griffen, and Sam Walters have all entered the Transfer Portal, as of right now, according to the Tide.
Nick Pringle had two team suspensions throughout the season, but he also made a significant impact in games against Clemson, LSU, Florida, and numerous other teams.
In addition to three highly anticipated freshmen and transfers Chris Youngblood and Houston Mallette, the Tide will have additional support soon. If Grant Nelson, Mark Sears, and Latrell Wrightsell Jr. declare for the NBA Draft, there might be more departures.
It appears that Jarin Stevenson and Mo Wague will remain for the 2024–25 season, which means the Tide will desperately need big guys in the transfer window. Clifford Omoruyi, a transfer from Rutgers, has Alabama basketball on his short list of Final Ten schools. The Tide will undoubtedly need to acquire a centre or two, since they have occasionally had trouble stopping big men this season.
You shouldn’t freak out over Alabama basketball.
Regarding the Alabama basketball team’s roster going into the 2024–25 season, there is currently no cause for concern. Aden Holloway, a 5-star prospect from last year’s class and transfer from Auburn, is visiting Alabama on Thursday in anticipation of a possible addition.
Recently de-committed players Boogie Fland and Liam McNeeley, two highly regarded recruits, will also be available to the Tide. While it is disappointing to lose experienced players, Nate Oats may now bring in higher-upside players with scholarships.
