More elite prospects from Florida are in town to watch the squad play spring football.
The Florida Gators will welcome a few more targets between the classes of 2025 and 2026 when they hold their most recent spring practice on Tuesday. Prospects have started arriving in large numbers to Gainesville over the past two weeks, making this a bustling spring already. Although there aren’t many big names in the group on Tuesday, Florida’s coaching staff is quite confident in a few of them. Swamp247 looks through the anticipated names.
Quarterback Noah Grubbs of Lake Mary (Fla.) 2026 visited Florida on Monday, but he will return on Tuesday. Monday was a lighter day for Florida, which gave Grubbs an opportunity to spend meaningful time with the coaching staff. So far, he has communicated with Ryan O’Hara, the offensive analyst for the Gators, who plays a major role in quarterback recruitment. Grubbs is coming to UF for the second time this year; he was there for a Junior Day in January. The Gators made their move with an offer on that trip. Grubbs has been traveling extensively lately, stopping in Miami, Ohio State, Michigan, and Notre Dame thus far. In the near future, he has excursions planned to North Carolina and Alabama. With so many gifted arms that cycle, the Florida class of 2026 promises to be an intriguing narrative. One of those names is Grubbs, who, even before his sophomore year ends, has already become a national recruit.
The coaching staff of the Florida Gators persistently pursued Cocoa (Fla.) three-star wide receiver Jayvan Boggs, despite his early commitment to Ohio State this past autumn. This past week marked the conclusion of that commitment. Boggs visited Georgia this past weekend after receiving an offer from them earlier in the year. He is still in contact with a couple colleges. After he performed a workout in front of the staff last summer, Florida made an offer.
Billy Gonzales, the wide receivers coach, has put a lot of pressure on Boggs ever since the summer. Gonzales simply increased his effort, and once Boggs selected Ohio State, head coach Billy Napier even got more involved in reaching out. Now that he’s back on the scene, Florida is recruiting him more aggressively than before. Although he does not currently have a scheduled formal visit with the Gators, it may come up for discussion on Tuesday. With trips already scheduled to UCF (May 31), Georgia (June 14), and Missouri (June 21), his official visitation calendar is beginning to take shape. Notre Dame is another player in his recruitment.
