TRADE OPTION: Broncos fans have shown serious concern and hope they trade back from their first pick in the 2024 NFL Draft

Upon the arrival of the 2024 NFL Draft, supporters of the Denver Broncos would prefer to trade back from their 12th overall pick.
We asked Denver Broncos supporters in our weekly survey what they wanted to see the team accomplish with its first-round pick in the upcoming month. The fans largely selected the safest option—trading back and accumulating more picks—out of the three options available with the 12th overall pick: trade up, remain steady, or trade back.

As for me, I’m against this strategy. After eight years, the Broncos have adopted a safe approach that has failed to produce any franchise quarterbacks. I obviously chose the least popular response from this survey because I think now is the right moment for them to get aggressive and place a big wager on a player they think has what it takes to be an outstanding NFL quarterback.

Bo Nix or Michael Penix, two quarterbacks in the second tier, would be the team’s goal if they decide to trade back. A second-round quarterback is likely to be just another guy, based on history. There are literally hundreds of guys who never made it as great NFL quarterbacks as Drew Brees. In addition to a number of flops, the Top 10 also includes a number of quarterbacks who would be first-ballot Hall of Fame selections. It is the location of the majority of elite NFL quarterbacks, percentage-wise.
