ESPN BREAKING NEWS: New Orleans Saints veteran quarterback Released huge Statement Ahead Of Second Season With Saints

Following his release from the franchise that drafted him, veteran quarterback Derek Carr joined with the New Orleans Saints in the hopes of reviving his career in the Big Easy. Carr had played his entire NFL career with the Las Vegas Raiders.

Regretfully, Carr’s debut season in New Orleans didn’t garner much attention because it was, to put it mildly, unremarkable. The Saints finished the 2023 NFL season with a 9-8 record, missing the playoffs.

Saints QB Derek Carr responds to Michael Thomas' heated Twitter tirade

With the seasoned quarterback behind center, the Saints did show some promise even if Carr’s first season was forgettable. It appears that Carr wants to improve even further the next year.

Carr pledged to deliver more in the 2024 season after receiving a happy birthday greeting from Barstool NOLA that included a clip of an amazing touchdown throw he completed the previous season.

“Thank you for persevering… We’ve got you covered; more to come. God be with you! stated Carr.
The Saints failed to create much of an impression in free agency, especially after parting ways with veteran wide receiver Michael Thomas, so it is unclear how they will fare offensively next season.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be under pressure to maintain their roster largely intact, and the Atlanta Falcons will be making some significant improvements in the NFC South division, so Carr and company will have their work cut out for them to put on a show offensively next season.

The 2024 NFL season may put Carr’s starting position in jeopardy, but only time will tell if he can succeed in New Orleans.
