Florida is making a lot of effort to retain a top legacy target in the state.
Guests arrived in considerable numbers on Thursday for the Florida Gators’ most recent spring practice in the city. Vernell Brown III, a four-star wide receiver at Orlando (Fla.) Jones, was one of the most intriguing prospects in town that day, even if he was unable to stay and watch the team take the field. He’s a legacy player who, prior to relocating to Orlando, resided just outside of Gainesville.
