Wolff stated that the meeting was only ‘to congratulate on his son’s feat’ in winning the race, but when asked if Verstappen could join the team, he said: “Everything is possible.”
Despite rumors about his future, Verstappen has elected to continue with Red Bull until at least 2028, when his current deal expires.
Verstappen’s comments on Red Bull parent company advisor Helmut Marko earlier this month raised concerns that he would leave the team.
Marko was being investigated to see if he violated team policy during the external investigation into allegations of inappropriate behaviour toward team principal Christian Horner, who was later absolved of any wrongdoing.
Marko was also later cleared, avoiding a possible punishment from his position.
Verstappen told reporters at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix that “if Helmut Marko leaves, we will have a really big problem at Red Bull.”
