The Florida Gators are still actively recruiting, although a small number of their targets have already committed to other programs. Jacksonville (Fla.) Raines five-star offensive tackle Solomon Thomas is one of those players whose name is very high on UF’s want list. Although he has committed to Florida State since last December, the Orange and Blue still view him as a top target.
Over the past year, Florida has welcomed Thomas to campus on several occasions, including a three-day visit in January. It was his first visit back to Gainesville following his Florida State commitment. Thomas will be touring throughout the next few weekends, including a return visit to The Swamp, as the spring break gets underway. Zach Blostein of 247Sports reports that Thomas intends to return to Florida on April 5–6. On his last day in town, he will be able to witness the Gators’ second spring scrimmage, thanks to this.
Although Thomas has travelled to Florida on multiple occasions, this vacation earlier in the year was the most enjoyable. Seeing campus undressed for a non-Junior Day or game day was one of the main reasons he did that, along with spending several days in town.
