BREAKING NEWS: Christian Horner is about jeopardising the future of Max Verstappen’s with a drastic Decision

Max Verstappen’s three World Championships are largely due to Adrian Newey’s contribution to his success.
Christian Horner is putting star driver Max Verstappen’s career in jeopardy, since there are rumours that he wants to shift Adrian Newey, a key engineer, from F1 operations to the new RB17 concept vehicle.
With the record-breaking RB19 in 2023, Newey solidified the RB18’s promise and helped establish Red Bull as the team to beat in the ground effect era. Over the winter, he further revolutionized the design philosophy. Verstappen would not have been able to win three World Championships without the 65-year-old.

It is well known how Verstappen feels about the illustrious engineer. He stated last month in an interview with Motorsport-Magazine: “Adrian is unique.” The beauty of individuality and the reality that every person approaches success differently are just that.

“There is only one Adrian, therefore, no, you cannot replace him. However, it’s great to see the fresh talent that he has been collaborating with for a while. It’s also amazing to observe how this skill finds its own path and how we accomplish our goals.
But a report from Auto Motor und Sport suggests that Newey’s involvement with Red Bull’s Formula One effort will soon come to an end. Horner is thinking of transferring the engineer to the RB17 Hypercar project due to financial restrictions under the cost ceiling restrictions.
There won’t be a shortage of outside offers for Newey should he determine that life outside of Formula One isn’t what he wants at this point in his career. Ferrari has made multiple attempts to get him away from Red Bull and is currently considering the potential of enticing a number of important members of the current champions’ technical staff to Maranello.

Verstappen hasn’t held back when it comes to making audacious claims about his future at Red Bull. Prior to this past weekend’s Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, important ally Helmut Marko, 26, made it plain that he would leave the team in protest if necessary.
The RB20, Newey’s latest technical marvel, offers a dominant performance that is the primary reason he is still with Red Bull, despite apparently continuous off-track turmoil overshadowing his exceptional on-track exploits.

Horner brought up the prospect of Verstappen departing last week. “I’m sure everyone in the paddock wants Max on their team,” he remarked. Toto Wolff, however, also reportedly remarked that “the best drivers want to be in the best car.” Max recently finished his 56th race with a victory and his 100th podium finish. Each in a Red Bull Racing vehicle.

With every new addition to the Ferrari project making it seem more and more dangerous, Horner runs the risk of losing Newey if the attitude in the Red Bull camp doesn’t improve. There won’t be much to keep Verstappen committed when the performance slows down.
