The Dallas Cowboys haven’t played in the Super Bowl in more than 25 years.
Since then, their franchise value has increased dramatically, and they are still among, if not the most, well-liked teams in the league.
Perhaps for this reason, team owner Jerry Jones is unwilling to alter his management style too much.
The question of whether to offer Dak Prescott $60 million annually in his next contract has recently come up for discussion.
In light of this, veteran NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III stated that, despite Prescott’s occasional underperformance, the problem in Arlington is not with him.
In an interview with ESPN’s Get Up, he blamed Jones for the organizational culture he has fostered.
“The problem isn’t always with Dak Prescott. Griffin stated, “The problem is Jerry Jones and the culture he has instilled for the Dallas Cowboys.”
If the Cowboys don’t find a coach who isn’t afraid to question and unnerve Jerry Jones, he feels that they will never be able to overcome their current situation.
He goes on to say that even though the Cowboys consistently get high ratings, it’s not because fans genuinely think they can win; rather, they watch the team to laugh at them since they know they will inevitably lose in the end.
Jones continues to steal the show as he makes weekly appearances on radio shows.
For a franchise that hasn’t had any success in more than 20 years, he makes all of the decisions.
Consequently, he ought to bear the brunt of the guilt, if not all of it.
Regretfully, fans may not see a change in that very soon.
